“Organisation and implementation of training activities to strengthen EU law enforcement in Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) fields in EU Member States under the “Better Training for Safer Food” initiative”- EAHC/2012/BTSF/08

The aim of this contract was to organise training sessions in order to support Member States in complying with EU feed and food safety standards and animal health and welfare and plant health rules. In particular:

  • protection of animal or plant life or health within the territory of a Member State from risks arising from the entry, establishment or spread of pests, diseases, disease-carrying organisms or disease-causing organisms;
  • protection of human or animal life or health within the territory of a Member State from risks arising from additives, contaminants, toxins or disease-causing organisms in foods, beverages or feedstuffs;
  • protection of human life or health within the territory of a Member State from risks arising from diseases carried by animals, plants or products thereof, or from the entry, establishment or spread of pests
  • prevention or limitation of other damage within the territory of a Member State from the entry, establishment or spread of pests.

Training workshops were held in the following countries:
