Animal Diseases Eradication Programme 2017/2020 – Northern Cyprus

The overall objective of the project  is  to improve the performance of the dairy sector in the northern part of Cyprus.

Main purpose of this project is to strengthen the capacities of the veterinary services in the prevention, surveillance, control and eradication of prioritised animal diseases in compliance with EU requirements. These diseases include but are not restricted to bovine brucellosis, tuberculosis,  leucosis, Foot and Mouth disease, Lumpy skin disease, ovine and caprine brucellosis, Peste des Petits Ruminants, sheep and goats pox.

Technical assistance and training activities were provided on behalf of Turkish Cypriot community.
